As we all knew that Chief Minister of the Telangana Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao has started the Haritha Haram project with the aim of planting the trees and making the state green has launched the two week long state Haritha Haram project at Gundrampalli in Chityal mandal of Nalgonda district.Almost of about one lakh samplings were planted along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway. The Chief minister himself first planted a ‘kadambam’ sampling at Choutuppal and even opened the market yard at Choutuppal.
Later he addressed a meeting off the highway. KCR said “Rains should return and the monkeys should go their habitats ans even every schooll should turn green”. “I took just three minutes to grant Rs. 350 crore for the works and once they are done on a war-footing, it will mean an additional ayacut of about 20 to 25 lakh acres. You should take a call and affirm to work and give back to Mother Nature the trees we have cut,” he said sanctioning a Rs.350 crore for works on Dharmareddy, Punaadhikaani and Pilayapalli canals that run in Nalgonda district.
He appreeciated the Collector Satyanarayana Reddy and Mr. Jagadeeswar Reddy, Members of Parliament B. Narsaiah Goud, Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Neti Vidyasagar and MLA V. Veeresham for thier works in making this project happen.
