Due to summer heat low pressure there is some respite for Tamil Nadu and Kerala state with thunderstrom yesterday after the election ends rains had affected the voter turnout during the Assembly elections on Monday in some places in Tamil Nadu. Nannilam in Tiruvarur district received maximum rainfall of 14 cm in the last 24 hours ended 8.30 am yesterday. now Tamil nadu has been experiencing the heaviest rainfall in May in the last five years, and the heaviest since the 2015 floods. The metrological Depatment said that there will be heavy rain fall in after 48 hours.
The met department confirmed that this is due to a low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal and Monsoon has not arrived in the state it will arrive after in middle of June they said.
